Jay would laugh and tell you that I have known we were going to adopt again since before we even knew who Amelia was…truth is, I will always want to adopt and if money was no issue we would adopt an entire orphanage of kids if we could!  So here we are, in the thick of adoption #2 and all I can think about is what McKayla said at dinner last night, “Can’t we just go to China tonight and get her”…ugh, everything in me wishes that this process were that easy.  But I choose to believe that each and every hurdle that we have to overcome is essential in order to protect each and every child who is waiting for their forever family.

January 7, 2014 – Signed application with Great Wall China Adoption

January 25, 2014 – Home study done by Cindy Hernandez

February  11, 2014 – Mailed 1st Packet to GWCA

March 10, 2014 – Home study Report Completed

March 17, 2014 – Mailed I800a to USCIS

April 24, 2014 – Received I800a approval

May 9, 2014 – Dossier to China (DTC)

May 10, 2014 – Log in Date (LID)

May 19, 2014 – We got THE call and got to see our baby girls face for the first time – Referral

May 29, 2014 – Letter of Intent (LOI)

August 14, 2014 – Letter Seeking Confirmation (LOA/LSC)

August 15, 2014 – Mailed 1800 to USCIS

August 29, 2014 – I800 approval

September 5, 2014 – Received I800 approval in the mail

September 10, 2014 – NVC cabled our GUZ# to Guangzhou

September 15, 2014 – Received PDF from NVC

September 15, 2014 – Filed DS260 electronically

September 18, 2014 – Article 5 to Guangzhou

September 30, 2014 – Article 5 was picked up and taken to CCCWA

October 14, 2014 – Travel Approval was issued

October 17, 2014 – Consulate appointment scheduled for November 13, 2014

October 30, 2014 – Leave for Beijing

November 3, 2014 – GOTCHA DAY

November 15, 2014 – Home as a family of 5
